Buying and bidding on Japanese websites and auctions If you require us to bid or buy an item from a Japanese web or auction site, on your behalf, which does not offer international shipping we'll be happy to do that for you. Just send us the details of the item and an advance payment to our paypal account and we will use the cash to get the item you want. With Auctions you will be required to decide your bid's highest limit in advance and we will put in an automatic bid for you. Obviously, it would be impossible for us to wait for the end of every auction and then bid. If you lose the item the cash will be transferred back to you forthwith and no fee will be charged. If you win or purchase the desired item we will then send you a further request for postage which would include a 10% charge calculated from the total item and postage cost. For example: Item cost + Postage + 10% of total = final cost. If an item costs you 10 GBP including postage we will only take 1 GBP as a fee, thus the transaction will cost 11GBP when completed. All transactions will be through Paypal with recorded net and printed invoices. You can use our service with 100% confidence and there is no way you can lose your money. Item search request and fees As searches may take longer and may be more intricate we use a set tariff charge. If you ask us to search for ANY item we'll do our best to find it, and quote you the lowest price possible so you can compare with prices in your home country before you buy. If you decide not to buy an item after we've found it then you PAY NO SEARCH FEE. However, if you decide to buy the item a moderate search fee will be added to the final sale price and postage. We work on the basis that the more expensive an item the more difficult it may be to find and procure, however, this is not always the case and is a general rule of thumb. If you have any comments or suggestions concerning fees we're always willing to listen, and may even implement a different system if we believe your ideas are better, or fairer, than ours. Search can take some time - a week, two weeks or more. If we think we're more likely to get an item if we wait a while ... then we'll wait. Our cut off point is up to about a month (flexible) and we'll keep you updated on our progress with regular e-mails. We're more than happy to do comparative retail price checks for NOTHING so you can compare Japanese prices with those of your home country. Just ask and we'll do our best to get you a lowest quote from Japan. Please continue to check **NB US $ conversions are approximate Payment details, return policy and postage: Payment methods We'd like to make buying from us as simple as possible, so you have the least hassle in getting what you want. Having said that, we are in the early stages of setting up payment methods and for now are limited to PAYPAL payments only. We realise this can be a restrictive method as a credit card may benecessary to open a paypal account, but the benefit of it is speed and safety. You can pay anyone anywhere instantly by sending money to their elected email address (see www.paypal.co.uk for more details). In certain circumstances we will accept cash - but a cash payment must be in either Japanese Yen or British Pounds, and must be sent by registered post. We are Paypal verified members and you can use our services with total confidence. For now, these are the accepted methods of payment. However, we will be expanding the possibilities in the near future. Seller's return policy: Return Policy Details If you decide you really don't want an item when you finally receive it that's fine, but please notify us by email within 72 hours (3 days) from time of receipt by post at destination (estimated duration of delivery based on >15 days via regular airmail, >5days by EMS express, and >30 days via SAL). Return postage is payable by the buyer/bidder and only item cost will be refunded. If an item is not received by us within 3weeks of notification of refusal by e-mail then refund will be void, so get it back in the post fast as possible. Otherwise, refunds for items will only be offered if the item is damaged due to poor packaging. A PHOTO OF PACKING AND DAMAGED OBJECT IS REQUIRED BEFORE REFUND ISSUE. In this circumstance, both item cost and postage will be fully refunded. VERY IMPORTANT!! ITEMS LOST IN TRANSIT BY THE POST OFFICE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE TO THE FULL AMOUNT. As it's neither your fault nor ours if an item 'disappears' we'll agree to split the loss and pay back half of the item and postage cost. PLEASE NOTE ... THIS IS A RARE EVENT. We've had to take this stance as a few unreasonable souls have tried to pretend that their item didn't arrive in order to keep it and gain a refund. Because of these few inconsiderate people it's made it a rather sticky issue and has lead us to changing our policy and, in turn, makes things less flexible for our honest customers. Item must be returned within: 3 weeks from notification to us by email. POSTAGE COSTS AND METHODS: Postage methods The Japan Post postage methods we use are regular airmail (average, >15 days delivery, 99%reliable), EMS express (fast, >5 days, reliable, safe and usually recommended for more expensive, special or sought after items) and, from time to time SAL (cheap, slow, up to 2000g only, maybe not so safe depending on country of destination). We may also use Japan Parcel Post, usually if the item and packing is oversize - parcel post is the most expensive of all the methods and we only offer it when absolutely necessary. Postage costs Sadly, Japan Post is expensive, and there's no way round this. We try to keep the costs down as much as possible. For example, if an auction item does exceptionally well we offer a discount on the postage .. sometimes up to 50% off the original estimate. If we can, we promise to send the item as cheaply as possible. The postage rates are defined by the weight and method of post, and you may check these yourself at www.post.japanpost.jp. Just ask us for the weight and you can check out the cost as we estimate it immediately. Japan post has an English translation button and it's very easy to navigate. I don't agree with ripping people off with over the top postage costs and you can rest assured that the postage has been worked out as accurately as possible. *In the rare event of postage miscalculation we may humbly approach you for the difference, likewise we will refund any over-estimates immediately. We try to post within 24 hours of receipt of payment where possible and are usually successful in this (check out the ebay feedback for comments). We don't like to be waiting on the post forever either, and appreciate that you'll want your item as quickly as possibly. We'll do our best to see that you get it fast.
