Sayaka is a local artist from Shimodate, Ibaraki Prefecture. She likes to work with acrylics, pencils, and computer graphics and to
try different styles and materials. She is an impressionistic artist, and dislikes to recreate a piece of artwork after she completes it,

Background:

OKSANA (Oksana Rusakova) was born and raised in
Russia. Since childhood, being very gifted in many
spheres, she attended different types of schools and
courses polishing her talents. Involved in performing
and visual arts, in 1999 Oksana graduated from the
Art University in Russia and left for overseas to
explore the World, catching up with her dreams. It
was after living for a few years in the tropical South
Pacific she became enamored with the Ocean and
the beautiful world within. It was 2005 when she
finally decided to project her visions on canvas and
share it with the world. She's known simply as
"Oksana" to her friends, family and fans.

"In my works I am alerting people to the deterioration
of the global environment and greater understanding
and respect for nature. Water is life. I have been and
lived in different countries, experienced an incredible
power of ocean, seen the beauty of graceful dolphins
and breaching whales that takes your breath away...
That all tied me up to the marine life theme in me
paintings in what you can read poetry, hear music,
and learn how to see, create and care for the beauty
around us with deeper understanding and love.  Into
each painting I put a small part of who I was, who I
am, and who I will become. Like all of us, I have just
passed through and looked at nature. This is all I took
away..."
